Flowchart of the segmentation framework. The result of the recursive mode seeking procedure is a clustered output that is an over-segmented version of the input image. The step of mode seeking is therefore succeeded by the merging step that concatenates similar clusters such that a merged output is obtained. The term "FSE" refers to feature space element.
