Call for Papers: Radar Signal Processing for Resource Aware Management

Radar resource management and refined processing, based on monostatic or multistatic radars, aim to enhance different performance metrics, such as the detection probability, positioning precision, tracking accuracy and recognition capability by managing the limited system degrees of freedom, perceiving knowledge of the surrounding environment, and extracting target information. Due to the varieties of the task requirements, system, target and environmental factors, it is still an open issue to better extract the signal and information in practical scenarios.

This special issue aims to explore the most recent progresses in algorithms and applications for radar working mode optimization and resource management, which could make the radar system more intelligent.
Both theoretical and practical research, as well as review/survey papers in these areas, are welcome.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Task oriented radar waveform design
  • Multi-task assignment and scheduling
  • Intelligent signal and information processing for refined radar target detection and tracking methods
  • Resource aware design for target detection, localization and tracking
  • Resource allocation for radar target recognition
  • Resource allocation for radar target imaging
  • Refined SAR image despeckle, restoration methods
  • SAR-Optical image matching
